Candles wer dim and unreliable; gas, dirty and dangerous; kero-, sent, dull, smoky, odorous and also dangerous to health and property. When elctric lights were introduced there was but one drawback. They cost considerably more than other lights. This objection has been overcome and elec tric lights are now the most economical as well as the most satisfactory light.
