Kitchen Chosen Director and Clerk. Union, June 19. (Special) Union had quite an exciting time at the school election on Monday as there was a warm contest for both places of director and clerk. A large - crowd was in attendance at the opening and voted to keep the polls open until six o'clock. C. J. Forsstrom chairman of the board appointed four ladies and cue -man on the 'election board. For the place of director C. J. Forsstrom was elected by a majority of eight over his opponent John' Welch. R. J. Kitchen was elected by a majority of two votes over E. L. Mcintosh. It is tr. be seen by these small majorities that the contest was close and a heavy vote polled. The good) people of Un !on are interested in their school and want to keep them up to a high stand ard.
