A. room last night, the Junior Board were delight ed to learn that the musical enter tainment which Prof. G. H. Arm strong has had in preparation for some time past for the benefit of the association, is now ready to be defi nitely announced. Mr. Armstrong said that the pro gram was not yet ready for publica tion, but outlined it sufficiently to I warrant the assertion that the enter- j tainment will be one of the very best that has ever been given in La Grande by local talent. j Among other attractive features, will be two selections by the famous L. D. S. Quartet; two numbers by Hcacock's Orchestra, and the Treble Cief club will contribute a selection. There will be solos by such well known singers as Mrs. A. L. Richard son, L. D. Rowland, and Frank Bridges. A reading will be inter spersed by Mrs. Bridges, also an or gan solo by Prof. Armstrong. There will be other vocal and instrumental features to be announced later. i The entertainment will be given under the direction of Prof, Arm strong and the entire proceeds of the evening will be donated to the Y. M. C. A. furniture fund. Mr. Arm strong left it to the association . to fix the price of admission, and 'while the board considered that the enter tainment would be equal in merit to many of the attractions advertised at $1, in order to secure the largest possible attendance, the entrance fee for adults was pluced at 25 cents, children 10 cents. As the cause is worthy and the entertainment merit orious, the occasion is admitted to be deserving of a generous attendance. The entertainment will be held in the Methodist church on the evening of May 28th. WHAT ABOUT THE BABY Are you providing for its future?
