The hours have been arranged so that workmen, clerks and business men can drop in for a few minutes and still get to their lunches within the hour. The plan is an unique one and will undoubtedly be of much success. The cervices are being arranged by Reverends W. C. Drahn and Upton H. Gibbs and will be assisted by other pastors of the city. This is the first time that La Grande has been promised such services, and that they will be a tremendous suc cess is deemed a certainty. Passion week begins Monday, March 30. and each day of that week and each day of Holy week commencing April (, these servrces will he hem. The feature of the plan is that the meetings will start on the minute and end on the minute; no dragging is to be permitted. At 12:05 hey will open and close at 12:30. Members of St. Mary's Roman Ca tholic church will experience two weeks of spiritual exercises during the mission which will be conducted by Rev. Father Brady, diocesan mission ary. The first week of the mission will be devoted exclusively to women, when all of the spiritual problems of women, and others, too, that have any bearing on their religious life and duties, will be thoroughly dis cussed by a man who has seen the outs and ins of life and is able to ad vise. During the week following the men will hear their duties discussed, duties not only to themlves and their fam ilies, but to society. At a prepara tion for caster it will be a time of special grace and meditation and men will be enabled to stop and take their bearings, consult their compass, and get back into the approved course, if they have swerved from it.
