In ad dition to these there was a number of visitors from other chapters, the reg iater'fhowlng In a measure how wide ly distributed is the Masonic teach ing. " About one year ago officers of Slope Chapter visited Eaker City, as Siting in initiatory services and the royal welcome extended upon that oc- tas'.on. the social and fraternal mem ories were such that Hope Chapter anxiously awaited an opportunity .to be their hostess and suffice it to say that honors, are even. The visiting delegation yesterday .vere given an opportunity to see the dramie Ronde vailev k unin tained In the homes, and friendships were formed never to be forgotten. . Following the initiation ceremony by the home chapter, the floral work was conducted by the Baker City team. Every lady was dressed In spotless white, over which their brilliant re galia and colors of their various of ficial positions showed out In splen dor. Their intricate drills, manipulated with grace and perfect precision was the admiration of all. Mrs. J. K. Ro mig, a former resident of this city be ing director. Miss May of Baker City, charmed all with her sweet voice and last, but not least the banquet room was opened and the tables fairly sparkeled with its cut glass-, snowy white llnnen, cut carnations, ever greens and an abundance of good things that always satisfies. While a few tore theuiadves away, before It was 1 o'clock and before the final good nights were spoken and one of the most brilliant and social events in Eastern Stardom in La Grande was but a pleasant memory. La Grande and Buker City will' al waya enjoy a stronger bond of union than would have been possible had not these two fraternal visits occur red. Ties of lasting friendship have been formed that would not have oth erwise have been and Hope and Ether chapters know each other. Se Play Tonight The 'offering of the National Stock !
