sod Lattery on the person of Fireman
Bowman, wli'ch was heard before
Justice of the Peace Angus Stewart,
this morning, the case was taken
under advlsemeat until Saturday mor
ning. ,
It is charged , that Mr. Gilman
knocked Bowman down in the store
of Andrews & Barry, after Bowman
had called Mrs. Oilman a liar.
The trouble came up over over the
efforts of Mr. Gilman to collect a
board bill from Bowman. Bowman
had quit the services of the railroad,
and his belongings were attached by
Gilman and others. .
