Seventy-one couples danced last evening at a social affair which had attracted most of the city's best peo ple. The park benefit ball given by a group of young ladies, is the talk of the day, bo successful was it from social standpoint, and the treasury de partment of the park .association is wearing broad smiles on account of nearly (60 that were turned in to them. Exquisitely gowned ladies were numerous. All in all there was a color of "society" about the ball that easily brands It as the leading and most successful ball given thus fur chis season. Two of the hostesses were ill and unable to attend Mrs. Una Scriber and Miss Dorothy Zuber, The hostesses In the receiving line were: Miss Lulu Gulling, Frances Mas see, Gertrude Ralston, Florence Mo Call, Floy Masses and Mae Whiw Tiie patronesses who assisted in re ceiving were Mesdames W.
