D. 8. musical ' committee, thjit a big recital will be given Thurs day night of next week at the taber nacle. To this recital the delegates from' various parts of the state will have an especially, urgent request to attend. The public at large Is also In vited. This announcement ' fills - the only vacant moment of the three days that the delegates will be here. -; Pipe Organ Number. The recital, Jhmigh not announced in detail, will hinge about, the taber nacle choir, pipe organ numbers and the L D. & quartet The hours are set for 7:80 to 8:10. SCHEDULE Contrary to rumors, and published assertions, local officiate know little or nothing about the time that the new tain service Into Wallowa county will go Into effect. The orders have not been Issued yet from headquarters and until they are, no one knows def initely what the scedule will be. In all porbablllty there will be no continua tion of the service beyond Wallowa, until the road Is ballasted on to Jos eph. When such Is the case, one mixed train will leave. La Grande and a similar train will leave Joseph each morning, the crews laying over at the other terminus each night. . Who Will Got Run. There Is some discussion on foot as to who will get the third run... Con ductors Grady and Gulling will be given first choice,' and In all likeli hood Mr. Gulling will hande the mixed Grande, and Mr. Grady will stay on the logging train. The third man will have to spend each flunday In Joseph. James Conner Is the "net man Xip" for the run.
