Prof. HIeks, who made several as censions in his balloon here- recently and who .almost broke Tils neck In at tempt to , make an ascent at Baker City, visited the Looking Glass country yesterday to decide whether or not he could make an ascension there next Sunday for the benefit of the tourists. No decision has been announced, but It Is not likely that he fancies alighting on tree tops which are prevalent In that section of Oregon. However, Hicks' nerve Is sufficient to warrant most any kind of an attempt. Later Hicks will make the ascent at t o'clock Sunday. Pearson lo Invado Canada. London, Aug. 7.
