sums In figures, addition and subtrac
tion, designate the letters of the al
phabet, and do other feats that are
truly marvelous.
Dr. Ellis, the owner who Is here
with the animal, has been granted-the
exclusive concession at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific
exposition at Seattle.
Dr. Ellis states that he will give $50
to charity if any committee composed
of business men, are able to select 12
stunts along the line of his usual work
and the horse cannot successfully per
form eight out, of the 12., The Idea Is
to demonstrate that the horse does
his work not merely In a mechanical
way, but on the contrary displays a
certain amount of reasoning intelligence.
