IlRrrlman and associates In the building of the Cananea River and Paclfio railroad, to extend the time limit for completion of the line, orders have been Issued to rush the work with all possible speed. The line must be finished by October 12, 1111, The road will extend from Oualmas, on the north, to Guadalajara on the south, a distance of 870 miles. Haed ers are at work harvesting a full crop of fall wheat and a crop of oats that Is on the average. - ', - The Sam Brooks header will start tomorrow morning, but many are to ba seen today. The Gaines machinery Is In full blast today. . Though there have been many cries of short crops. It must be admitted now that the grain has started to fall ' before the reaper, that the Imbler section of the valley Is but a trifle behind the rec ords of other years; It is the general opinion that the fall wheat will aver aft a good crop. Oats' Is' a trifle short, but even that Is on a paying basis. . Thus, from all parts of the vulley come similar reports. Admittedly, It Is too early to ascertain positively what the crop result will be, as the men who really know are those who spent the day In the field harvesting and they, of course, could not be communicated with during the hours of labor, jit Is no Idle, Jest or assertion to say that the crops this year In Union county will be up to the average. In ft Few Words, Senator Warner of Missouri, Will Inform William Taft of Ills Nomination at Chicago Po litical World Looks With Interest on What Taft Will Say In Acceptance, Cincinnati, O.. July it. William H. Taft will be formally notified of his nomination as the republican candi date for president at noon tomorrow. and Cincinnati has completed arrange ments for making the event one of the most noteworthy of Its kind ever held. Members of the notification commit tee are arriving today and scores of leading polltclans will be the guests of Cincinnati at tomorrow's ceremony. Senator Warner of Missouri, will make the notification speech, and It will be so brief that It will not require more than 10 minutes for Its delivery. Mr. Taft's speech of acceptance will contain about J500 words, and In It he will touch upon all the Issues In the republican platform. Of all tha planks Irothe platform, that relating to ln'junc-tlnns will re ceive greatest attention. In as much as criticism from demorratlo sources has been made on his record while on the bench, and the two parties having adopted planks on that subject Mr. Tsft, It Is said, will declare his posi tion on this Important question In forceful and unmistakable terms. Mr. Taft will assert his Independ ence by Including In his speech of ac ceptance a personal plank on public ity of campaign contributions,' ft prop osition which stumped ft republican congress and which was Ignored as an Issua by tha Chicago convention.
