DAY, Principal 1 At 12:30 today, In compliance with orders issued shortly after 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon by General Su perintendent M. J. Buckley and Su perintendent Campbell, the first train to leave for Elgin under the ' new schedule, went out with Conductor '.Vyatt In charge. From now on there will be double service between here and Elgin. The regular train, In charge of Conductor Crady, will leave as usual at 8 o'clock with full passenger equipment. It will do no local work en route, but will go to the end of the line with empty logging cars and return with loaded cars. It will set out one conch at Elgin, leaving there at 1 o'clock. Returning, with express, baggage and mail, It will do local work, reaching La Grande at 8 o'clock. The second train, to be run by con ductors as "times out" happen, to catch them, leaves La Grande at 12:30 P. m., carrying empty f logging cart nd a caboose, doing local work en oute, and picking up loaded logglnf ?nrs at the Junction. At Elgin It wll! pick up the one coach and returr without way work.
