Clow athletic Instructor at the Walla Walla schools, has brought a rupture In Athletic relations between Pendleton and Walla Walla, as far as Interscholastic sports are concerned. Mr. Clow refereed the basketball game In this city recently, when the Garden City team defeated the Gobblers. His work here was not of a high order by any means, but It did not reach the point It did at Pendleton on the eve ning following, according to the fol lowing from the Pendleton East Ore gonlun: At a meeting of the students of the Pendleton high school yesterday after noon all athletic relations with the Walla Walla high school were de clared off until the Walla Walla school removes their present physical direc tor, Clow. Also, they resent statements made by him In In terview with a Walla Walla paper. Preparations for the track season are now being made and Walla Walla Is seeking a meet with Pendleton. His successor is Charles McCann of Portland, who is today out with the former roadmaster, getting acquainted with things.
