When Al- ford Kinsman, a wealthy resident of Kinsman, this county, faces a Jury this month to answer to the charge of slaying George Blrrell, he will have as his leading counsel Clarence Darrow, the famous Chicago attorney who suc cessfully defended Haywood and Pet tlbone, the western labor leaders. Darrow and Kinsman were schoolmates,-and although the distinguished attorney is still suffering from the ill ness that sent him from Idaho to Los Angeles for treatment, he has prom" Ised to come to the defense of his for mer companion. Blrrell Is alleged to have been killed by Kinsman as the re sult of a quarrel over the settlement of the estate of the latter's father, of which Blrrell was trustee. Ice Men Prepare for Season.
