JULIUS ROESCH. Imbler, Ore., Feb. . (Special.) As the election time draw nearer the question U often asked: Will Imbler get a aaloon this election? The sa loon man comes around and offers voters a drink of poor whisky and then asks how he will vote, thus placing- the price of man's vote at drink of whisky. They say It will help the town, but do thoy know that Imbler n6wft three ' times ' the slxe it . was when It had a saloon? Again, you can be convinced by seeing the towns of Muskogee, Tulsa and South McAl lister, formerly in the Indian ' terri tory, but now a part of Oklahoma, that have a population of from 15,000 to 30,000, and a saloon has never existed in them, wallowa county is more prosperous today than it ever was be fore. It is just as Impossible to run saloons without boys as It is a mill without wheat Who will furnish the Other Notes.
