Jordan of the Grande Ronde Cash Co., spent several days last week in North Powder. Sidewalks. A meeting of the North Powder council was held last evening. They are talking of putting In new walks. We wonder If It Is all talk. Breaks Arm on Ice. Arch Rollins, the barber of North Powder, met with a very painful ac cident at the skating rink -last ever ning. Having put on the roller skates last evening for the first time, he was not very sure on his feet, and fell. Trying to catch himself his whole weight came on his arm In such a way that the wrist sustained a frac ture of one bone. Geo. W.
