It will be met there by the Chilean cruiser Chacabuco, which will pilot the vessels through Chilean wa ters. Secretary Taft Is slated fur several speeches next week, most Important of vslrh will be at the McKlnley duy banquet of the Tippecanoe club In Cleveland on Wednesday night. On Saturday night he will speak at the annual banquet of the Ohio Society of New York, when Governor Hughes Is also expected to deliver an address. Governor Hughes will also speak at a meeting of the New York State Charities association in Albany Mon day, when a campaign will be com menced to wipe out tuberculosis in the empire state. One of the most Important conven tions of the coming week will be that of the American Breeders' asso ciation, of which Secretary James Wilson of the department 'of agricul ture Is president. The sewdons will be held In Washington on Tuesday. tdnesday and Thursday, and will be Iressed by some of the leading practical and scientific plant and ani mal breeders of the country. Another Important meeting In the national capital mill be that of the executive committee of the National Editorial association, which will convene Mon day.
