Investi gations have proved that corn cob are of large commercial value for the manu facture of alcohol Department experts have been busy with com cobs at a can nery in Hoopeston, 111. A ton of green cobs, that have formerly been wast, will make 1 1 gallons of alcohol. A ton of green corn stalks will also yield alcohol to the amount of 6 to 16 gallons.
