The average condition of the growing crop on July I. wes 57.6 as compared with 87.3 on July I. 190S. Tne amount of wheat remaining in the hands of farmers on July I is estimated about 46,063.000 bushel equivalent to about 6.6 per cent of the crop last year. The acreage of potatoes excluding sweet potatoes is less than that of last year by about last year 38,000 acres or 1.3 par cint. The average condition oti July 1 was 9I.S as compared with 91.1 on July I I9J5. 93.9 at the corresponding da e in I9J4 and J. ten year average of 92.1. The acerage of tobacco is less thin that of last year by about 40,000 acres or 6.2 per cant. The average condition on July I was 86.7 against 84.7 one year ago. Govern ment Crop Reporter.
