"DEAD" NAN IN (ITT JAIL At 3 o'clock this afternoon the startling news tl at there was a dead man in the city jail was 'phoned to the Recorder's office. BICYCLE ECCENTRICITIES The possibilities of trick bicycle riding have been pushed to the uttermost limit by the Dunedin troop, three men and two 'v:r. r... imilii Lli.Lir.iat Adam Forepaugh and Sells Brothers' United Shows. These performers have made bicycle riding an art. They have invented movements which call for the highest dating and akill as well as keenest sus ceptibi ity tq artistic grace and picture effect. They glide through all the dainty figures of old fashioned dances, as well as those of the present day vogue, with eccentricities thrown in to make the changes more thrilling and amusing. They work singly, in groups and all to gether, spinning around on the rear wheel, balancing upright on the handlebar, turn- ng a sumersauit across a wide table, with the wheel high in the air, and land ing safely in the saddle, the entire troop forming athletic poses, and in a lot of other amazing ways they set at naught the laws of gravitation and physical limitations. This act created a furore in the leadir.g arenas of Europe, and is one of the many imported sensations com prised in the enormous program of Fore paugh and Sells Brothers' Circus this season.
