where he has been laying out a town
site for Edwin Snow, assistant attorney

town wil be called Minam.
A meeting of the La Grande Republican
club is called to meet tomorrow night to
elect officers for the ensuing year, and it
should be the aim and desire of each
individual member and all Republicans to
select such a man for president that will
work for the whole ticket and also one
who can harmonize all the conflicting
interests of the party. It has baeo sug
gested that E. W. Bartlett would be the
proper person to choose as such a chair
man. '
