The government determined to discover just in what time it could sand a considerable body of men from England to the Queen Charlotte Islands, which lie north of Vancouver. The scheme is to call upon the Canadian Pacific to transport 1 0.O0Q marines and sailors with boats and all equipment from England to Vancouver and thence' bv eoasting vessels to Queen Charlotte Isl ands. This will involve the chartering of extra vessels and the running of twenty trains, each loaded wich five hundred men and camp equipage, across the Con tent Th. vparlmi.nl'. will take nlace in about two months.
