Miss Jennie French is reported to quite ill at her home in (he Old Town. Fred A. Holmes is over from Enter prise today on a business trip. T. W. Dsvidson was over from Union yesterday on business connected with the Central Railroad. Deputy Sheriff and Mrs. J. F. Phy went to Baker City this morning on a short visit to that city. School Superintendent E. E. Bragg went to Cove this morning on business connected with his office. Miss Ada West has returned to Port land to resume her studies, after spend ing her holidays' vacation in this city. W. R. Kivett, of Boise, formerly mana ger of Zinn Travesty company, is in the city from that place. M. F. Davis, postmaster at Union, came over yesterday on a visit to friends and reiativm. . , Milton Huber, an insurance man from Walla Walla, is in the city this week on business.. W. K. Davis, the Eilert piano man. left this morning for Union to transact busi ness. 1 Mrs. Archie Little, of the Old Town, who has been quit ill. is reported better today. The Thomas orchestra will furnish th music for the dance at th L. D. S. meet ing house tomorrow night Th Woman's Foreign Misronary So ciety of the Methodist church met this afternoon with Mrs. F. B. Currey at her home on P street. Conductor J. L. McCrary, of th Pen dleton-Huntington passenger run on the O. R. & N is taking a few days' vacation and Conductor H. C. Crady is on the run in his place. Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Tucker of Tekoa Wash, are in th city on a short visit Mr. Tucker was formerly on the railroad out of this city and holps a like position out of Teko. SOCIETY Basket ball . The O. N. 0. and the Commercial Club teams will meat agiin tomorrow evening at the Armory hall. The usual price will be charged. Tonight a practice gam between , tne High School and Commercial Club teams, will take place. ' JOINT INSTALLATION The Modern Woodmen of America and the Royal Neighbors will hold joint in stallation Friday evening at the I. O. O. F. hall. All members and their families are invited.
