Our roads are slill In a deplorable condi tion and some Immediate acUon should be taken to Improve them, either by planking or otherwise, as the law gives the right to Ueue bonds for the construction of roads, payable ten or twenty years bfciies. Why not have a plank road from Rainier to C'latnkaiiie, by way of Helena f This could be dons st a moderate cost and would be of great benefit to the emirs lower end of the county. A good road that could be ueed all tbs year round would greatly Increase the value of proierty, besides more tnen compensating for ths coot of construction In ths way of increased business and com fort w would enjoy compared with our present, almost luipassnble, roads.
