r The EMU Craft Center is a comprehensive Arts Program offering well equipped facilities and workshops in most areas of the Visual Arts. Our program is both educational and recreational, encouraging all levels of interest from beginning hobbyist to serious artist Our intimate, informal workshops are taught by accomplished artists and crafts people. The emphasis is on high quality individual instruction designed to encourage you to pursue your creative side. Most workshops are offered in the late afternoon or evening to fit your class or work schedule. We also offer $5 introductory workshops (see back page for listing). Speed Quilting Trina Duhaime Classic quilt patterns & piecing techniques combine to produce a traditional quilt quickly. The first class will include discussions of patterns, color, and fabric requirements. Outside sewing time may be necessary. 15 hours of instruction. Term pass required. The finished product can be used as an ice or hot pack. A great introduction to basic machine use. Muslin, rice and some herbs provided. We’ll investigate alternatives to black & white printing with photography’s oldest processes: Cyanotype & Van Dyke brown.
