This workshop is an intensive seven-day experience in traditional & contemporary approaches to stone carving, using hand & pneumatic tools. Faculty includes: Laura Alpert & Tom Urban, with special presentations by David Miller, & Ron Gietgey. Registration: This workshop is listed in the UO Summer Bulletin of Classes, available at the UO Bookstore, or the Summer Session office at 333 Oregon Hall. Summer Hours (June 25 - August 17) Mon&Tues 10 am -6:30 pm Wed&Thur 10 am-9:30 pm Friday 10 am - 4:30 pm Sat & Sun Closed Open Sunday, July 15 & 29, 12:00-5:00pm We are closed July 4th Open limited hours Aug 20-29 Closed between Aug 30-Sept 16 Costs & Supplies: Tuition: $345-4 credits. Materials fee: $100. fee includes one 1-2 cubic foot block of moderate grade marble. Additional stone, & necessary workshop tools will be available for purchase.
