By registering with the UO Career Center you will: • Be eligible to participate in the Campus Interview Program, our on campus recruiting program • Receive our weekly E-Mail with information about intern ships, full-time jobs, workshops, career fairs, and more! • Submit your resume to us so that we can have it in our Resume Data Bank (That way we can send out your resume to employers seeking your skills) More than 1,000 students are registered with the UO Career Center. The Career Development Intern ship Program (CDIP) at the UO Ca reer Center provides opportunities for off-campus internships which al low you to explore career fields, gain experience, and develop new skills. To participate, you must be a Junior or Senior in good academic stand ing. Credit comes from CPSY 408, upper-division, elective credit. Internships are available in Graphic Design, Social Services, Marketing, Financial Services, Environmental Education, Public Relations, the Arts, Technology, Publications, Hos pitality, and more! You may participate in this pro gram in one of two ways: 1) Interview with our established Eugene/Springfield internship sites. The Orientation for Spring 1998 internships is Monday, February 9, 3:30-5:00, in EMU Walnut. You will learn about the program and sign up for interviews at the sites. Sign-ups for interviews will run un til Friday, February 20. Descriptions of these internships will be available Wednesday, Janu ary 28 in the Career Library, 244 Hendricks. This information is also available on the Web at <uocareer.uoregon.edu>: select the Internships link, then select Career Development Internship Program. Read the descriptions before the ori entation so you know what inter views you want! You can sign up for two interviews. 2) You can also propose an intern ship of your own. If you have set up an internship and want to earn credit for the learning experience, you must complete a CDIP proposal form (available at the Career Cen ter). Your internship can be in the local area, out-of-state, or even in ternational! For Spring 1998 internships, the proposal deadline is Friday, Feb ruary 27. If you have questions about CDIP, especially about deadlines or pro posing your own internship, please meet with Beth, Stephanie, Jeaneth, Pam, or Sharon during their drop in hours at the Career Center.
