Redskins win, stay undefeated From Associated Prat* reports The Washington Redskins remained undefeated while three other previously unbeaten teams fell for the first time as the National Football League moved into its second week of post-strike play The only other undefeated NFL team, the Miami Dolphins, puts its unmarred record on the line Monday night against winless Tampa Bay The three first-time losers were the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Raiders and Green Bay Packers The Los Angeles Rams, meanwhile, won their first game, leaving the Baltimore Colts as the only team besides Tampa Bay without a victory this season Mark Moseley kicked field goals of 45 and 43 yards, and Joe Theismann threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to Charlie Brown as the Redskins extended their record to 4-0 under Coach Joe Gibbs with a 13-9 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles The Redskins intercepted two Ron Jaworski passes in the final 5:40, the first on their own 1-yard line, to turn back two Philadelphia scoring threats. Jaworski was intercepted four times as the Eagles dropped to 1-3. Jim Zorn threw one touchdown pass, and rookie Norm Johnson kicked three field goals as Seattle shut out Pittsburgh 16-0 Johnson connected on tries of 35, 48 and 29 yards, and Zorn's 11-yard T£> strike to Paul Johns came in the third quarter The Steelers played most of the game without quarterback Terry Bradshaw, who left with a sprained shoulder after he was sacked late in the first quarter The shutout was Seattle's first in two years and the first by any team against Pittsburgh since the Steelers lost 6-0 to Houston on Dec 4, 1980. The victory gave the Seahawks a 2-2 record The Raiders sustained their first loss against three wins, 31-17, at Cincinnati. Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson threw one touchdown pass and ran for another as Cincinnati, defending Amer ican Conference champion, ran its mark to 3-1 Cincinnati led 14-0 after a 3-yard Anderson scoring pass to Rodney Hol man and a 56-yard interception return by cornerback Ken Riley in the first quarter. Pat Leahy kicked a 25-yard field goal as time expired in the third quarter to boost the New York Jets to a 15-13 victory over Green Bay DOONESBURY k. swoocncaoruT what po rr so**, [venue in whcan, muu is nano a oe n Feu uxtANMcmevuw THROUGH, OtT ANY OF MIG CALLS DUCKS’ RtTUtmO ANYMORt BUT mtn WKTHORK/.THSPRO uz jeci mlans too much OUUOTO T0lutTD6IVtUPN0u START am 1HOURWMTANOTH ING SOON’ & MY W RAtSL .5 / THtMONOY V: by Garry Trudeau BLOOM COUNTY HIPtmMMN.' m mms m COHING.'M RI/SM6 m. mm! by Berks Breathed MEETINGS The Eugene Ballat Company Guild will hold an opan moating for those interested in Guild activities or volunteering for the Ballet The meeting will be held tonight at 7 in the Wheeler Room at the First Congregational Church, 1050 E 23rd The program includes a social from 7 to 7:30 p m The public is invited to meet with with and talk to Guild members.
