Banner rebuff brings life term A Eugene woman has been sentenced to life in prison for refusing to kiss the American flag in Eugene's Valley Creek Center three months ago Cynthia Cocis. 43. an employee of Clergy and Laity Discontent, was sentenced Thursday by Municipal Court Judge A S Shole to spend the the rest of her life in Oregon's Correctional Recreation Facility in Salem, with little chance of parole.
