I Conti unity Robbery figure set at $19,300 The armed robbery at the campus branch of the First National Bank of Oregon which took place shortly before closing time Wed nesday, netted $19,300 according to a bank spokesman. Eugene Police report they have not apprehended the suspect who, after taking a hostage, disappeared into a crowd on the University campus. The hostage, Steven Hess, was released unharmed by the robber. Construction causes Lane closures In connection with construction on the 7th Avenue-Willamette River Project, land closures on the following streets in the City of Eugene will be necessary: On April 24th 6th Ave. between Lincoln and Monroe Streets will be reduced to 2 lanes of traffic for a period of 3 months. Washington and Jefferson Streets will be reduced to two lanes of thru traffic between 5th Avenue and Broadway for a period of five months beginning on April 24. On May 24th 7th Avenue between Lawrence and Madison will be reduced to 2 lanes of thru traffic for a period of 3 months. The Donald M Drake Co. is performing the work under a contract with the Oregon State Highway Division. Tentative plans are to have the street reconstruction completed within a five month period. It is planned to open the entire project to traffic in the spring of 1973 with final completion set for August 19, 1973. Gestalt workshop begins A workshop dealing with Gestalt therapy will be held at Marylhurst College near l^ake Oswego (today). Saturday and Sunday, under the joint sponsorship of the Oregon Psychologists’ Professional Development Project (OPPDP), the Mental Health Field Project at Portland State University, and the Clackamas County Mental Health Clinic. leading the experimental sessions in Gestalt therapy techniques will be Dr Tom Munson, psychiatrist who heads the Gestalt Therapy Institute in San Diego, California, and an assistant from the Institute, Joan Soudar. This is the first of a series of therapy skills workshops for psychologists and related professionals to be held in the next two years. The goal of OPPDP, which was established last December, is to provide ongoing training and education to such persons.
