Construction causes Lane closures
In connection with construction on the 7th Avenue-Willamette
River Project, land closures on the following streets in the City of
Eugene will be necessary:
On April 24th 6th Ave. between Lincoln and Monroe Streets will be
reduced to 2 lanes of traffic for a period of 3 months.
Washington and Jefferson Streets will be reduced to two lanes of
thru traffic between 5th Avenue and Broadway for a period of five
months beginning on April 24.
On May 24th 7th Avenue between Lawrence and Madison will be
reduced to 2 lanes of thru traffic for a period of 3 months.
The Donald M Drake Co. is performing the work under a contract
with the Oregon State Highway Division. Tentative plans are to have
the street reconstruction completed within a five month period. It is
planned to open the entire project to traffic in the spring of 1973 with
final completion set for August 19, 1973.
