Crucial series with Huskies confronts Ducks Good grief. What happens if Oregon’s baseball team whips Washington three times this weekend? If the Ducks sweep this Northern Division Pacific 8 series, that means they’re 7-2 in the conference— and in the driver’s seat for the title. Only one problem. Winner of the mud and rain division has to go to California and play either USC, Stanford, Cal, or UCLA. Some honor. Those people play more games in a week than Oregon can slosh through in a season.
