A. Sanders, and Mrs. Sanders' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Byrd. Mr. Sanders is an actor and has been studying at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. The two Sanders boys have been here visiting Their grand parents and were joined here this week by their parents, who will take them back to Los Angeles. ' STOP OVER FOR VISIT The Rev. and Mrs. Perry Swan and daughter, Mary Margaret, of Mesa, Arizona, stopped over In Roseburg Tuesday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. A. Ful ler Johnson. Mrs. Swan is a niece of Mr. Johnson and this was their first visit in 28 , years. They had been on a trip to Prineville to visit Mrs. Swan's step-mother, Mrs. Madge Becraft. The Rev. Mr. Swan is pastor of the First Christian Church in Mesa and is also president of the Ministerial Association there. Wainscott, who has retired as Douglas County health officer, and Mrs. Lavinia Miller, who has resigned as health nurse supervisor of Douglas County, was given by employees of the Health Depart ment at Carl's Haven last Tuesday night. Bell and son, Mike, entertained at a very lovely 6 p.m. dinner party Sunday evening at their home in compli ment to the former's son and daughter - in - law, Col. and Mrs. Maynard Bell, who are enroute from Great Falls, Mont., to Tokyo, Japan. Wayne Wagner and Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Bell and Mike. DR. AND MRS. GRABOW HAVE 25th ANNIVERSARY A group of friends surprised Dr. and Mrs. John J. Grabow Friday evening at a party and potluclc supper on their 25th weaaing anni versary. At 8:30 a delicious supper including a decorated wedding cake was served to the following: Dr. and Mrs. Garbow and family; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Thompson, Mr. and .Mrs. Vern Holgate, Mr. and Mrs. Landis Vaale, Mr. and Mrs. Gilsan Mardin, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Rehwalt. Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCord and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Keith. The group presented the Gra bows with a lovely gift after which a social hour was enjoyed. Progressive Dinner Delightful Affair Charlene West. Marilyn Todd, Sally Hill, Sharon Lyons and Bar bara Miller entertained as guests, Jerry Healy, Lee Anne Norris, De anna Pugh, Shirley Cotrell and Judy Cullimore of Klamath Falls, house guest oi Miss Lyons, ai a charming progressive dinner par ty Friday night. The first course was served at tiie home of Miss Miller, who car ried out the Hawaiian theme, blie served pinapple fruit cocktail. Leis and flowers for the guests' hair were presented as favors. The second course was at the home of Miss Miller, who carried out the French theme by serving French onion soup at small tables arranged to represent a French cafe. Her sisters, Carole and Lor etta Todd, dressed in red and white doited mviss dresses witn red headbands and white organdy aprons, served the course. The third course was of salad served at the home of Miss Hill, who carried out the Brazilian theme. She served peanut and ba nana salad. Favors were minia ture Brazilians and palms. T h e table was centered with fresh pine apple and a ukelcle. The dinner course was served at the home of Miss Lyons, who car ried out the Italian theme by serv ing spaghetti and garlic bread. Minature artists' palettes on nut cups filled with grapes were given as favors. The course was served by candlelight at small tables. The dessert-course carried out the Alaskan theme at the home of Miss West, who served Baked Alas ka. Favors were tiny igloos made of marshmallows. The table was centered with white daisies and an Alaskan flag, tiny Eskimocs and bears. At all of the hostesses' homes, games appropriate to the coun tries represented were played. Fol lowing the dessert-course the group went to the home of Barbara Mil ler for a slumber party.
