The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Durand Sr., of Roseburg and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lowe, formerly of Roseburg, now of Portland. r For her wedding Miss Durand chose a street-length full-skirted gown of white taffeta with tulle ovcrskirt. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a boat neckline and three-quarter sleeves. Her finger tip tulle veil was secured by a small while taffeta cap. The bridal 'If l4 1 MR. AND MRS. GLEN WRIGHT were guests of honor at a surprise party given for them on the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary by Mrs. Wright's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Keen, at their home. Jacobson entertained a group of Laurclwood neighbors at a most delightful coffee at her beautiful home, in compliment to her housegucst, Mrs. Kenneth Wil son, of Glen Ridge, N.J. The Wil son and Jacobson families became friends, when the Jacobsons resid ed in Gltn Ridsc. Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson took Mrs. Wilson to EiiRene Friday, where they were luncheon guests at the home of the Jacobsons' son-in-law and dauRhter, Mr. and Mrs. Doug las Greminel, and family. From there, they went on to the coast to enjoy several days at Adobe, near Yachats. MRS. Vicki Lynn Lowe, - sister of t h e bridegroom, was flower girl and wore a pink satin dress. James Lowe acted as best man for his brother. Vernon Hage, brother-in-law of the bride, was usher. A wedding breakfast was given for the bridal couple at the name of the bride's parents. It was fol. lowed by a reception at which Mrs. served by the hostess from a table beautifully decorated with spring blossoms and a lovely birthday cake. Ellis entertained at a lovely dinner Saturday eve ning honoring her husband on his birthday anniversary. The dinner was served at 8 p.m. at a well arranged table at which covers were placed for the honored guest, Dale R. Vases of daffo dils were placed at the end of the table and the centerpiece was a large white and silver cake which was served to 138 guests. The cake was served by Mrs. John Shillings; the gifts were ar ranged by Mrs. Lockwood's moth er, Mrs. May Sibold, and her sis ters, Mrs. Mildred Philpot of Port land and airs. Dick Stevenson. The guest book was in chargo of Dick Stevenson. After the refreshments were served guests enjoyed music and dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Lockwood delighted everyone when they danced the anniversary waltz. Mrs. Knox played traditional wedding music and accompanied Harold Shanks, soloist, who sang "Always." The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a ballerina-length gown of white bro cade satin, made princess style with three-quarter-length sleeves. She wore her mother's band of orange blossoms in her hair and carried her maternal grandmoth er's wedding handkerchief. Her bouquet was a white orchid on a white Bible. McCall, both of Rose burg, was announced Saturday evening at a dinner party at the Harlequin Club given by Miss Kyer's brotjier-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hayes. Lovely gifts were presented to the three guests of honor, after which a beautifully decorated cake and other refreshments were serv ed. Jim Conn, brother of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Kenneth Bly and Gary Conn, cous in of the bride. The bride's mother was dressed in navy and white and wore a cor sage of red camellias.1 At the reception which followed in the church parlors, a beautiful lace tablecloth made by the bride's paternal grandmother covered the table. A three-tiered wedding cake was served by the bride's sister, Mrs. Jerry Stidham. Coffee was poured by Miss Donna Barker and Miss Dalene Busenbark served the punch. Virginia Fenn had charge of the guest book and Sylvia Fenn and Lynette Conn arranged the many lovely gifts. Mrs. Harold Shanks assisted about the rooms. For traveling the bride chose a tan ensemble with brown accessor ies and orchid corsage. Mrs. Blanchard has lived in Mel rose all of her life, was graduated from Roseburg schools and attend ed Southern Oregon College. Mr. Blanchard is from Parsons, Kan., and since his return from duty in the Air Force, has been employed at Klamath Falls, where the young people will make their home.
