International Team Visits Here LOTUS KNIGHT PORTER ' Photo Lob SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 1956 The News-Review, Roseburg, Ore. 5 AMONG those enjoying the International Team here were Mrs. frank Ashley (lower left picture), who is vice president of District No. 2 of the Federation of Women's Clubs, Roseburg; Mrs. John Devereux, second vice president of District No. 2, Bandon; Mrs. John Hair, state president of the Federation of Women's Clubs, Portland; Mrs. R. A. Talbott, Portland, president of District No. 2, and Mrs.. Kenneth Ford, newly elected president of the Roseburg Woman's Club. INTERESTING VISITORS in Roseburg for three days this week were Eva Shipstone, above left, from Lucknow, India; Violeta Cavallero, obove right, of Montevideo, Uruguay, and center, Mrs. Kiyo Tanaka, of Nagoya, Japan, who made up the International Team sent out to three places in the United States as a workshop team to promote bet ter world understanding for peace. The three were enthusiastically received by au diences here. Mrs. Ellsworth Tilton, wife of the First Methodist minister here, intro duced the team to Roseburg .audiences. Mrs. Tilton, who is secretary of Foreign Mis- i sions of the Western Jurisdiction, has attended the United Nations several times', and is very much interested in working for peace. .
