Miss Martha Ann (Marcvl Gos-i nell of Tiller and David Gardner' Turnbull of ' Lorane solemnized their marriage Dec. 27 at a 7:30 p.m. double ring ceremony per formed in the South Umpqua Com munity Church at Tiller by the Rev. Willard Fenderson. The bride bridegroom is the son of Mrs. A. G. Turnbull of Nevada, Mo. About 140 guests were present to witness the ceremony. The chancel of the church was decorated with two large white bas kets filled with fern and poinset tias and two large candelabra con taining white candles, while a sin gle white candle burned in each of the church windows. Mrs. William Alecks or Lookingglass sang "Be cause and lne Lord s Prayer accompanied by Mrs. George Chil dress of Myrtle Creek who also played the traditional wedding mu sic. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was exquistely gowned in a Chantilly lace and nylon net dress, styled in the colonial period. The bodice and long sleeves were of lace and the full net skirt with its wide insertions of lace fell soft ly over a white faille skirt support ed by hoops. Her veil of illusion was secured dv a seea pen aeaa- dress designed by the bride. She carried a white Bible wiln a snow er bouquet of white roses and satin ribbons. A close school friend of the bride, Mrs. John Newton of Portland, was matron of honor. NEW LUNCHEON CLUB MEETS AT BANKS HOME The newly formed club, Patch holiday gown of red velvet and tulle and carried a colonial nose- uav of white flowers. Her head dress of net was fashioned by the bride. Dr. Jack L. SheDler of Burling ton, Wash., brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man and Jack Watson and Charles Ander- son, both of Tiller, were ushers. A large reception followed th e ceremony in the community ; room at the Tiller-Drew school with the Mcsdames William Howell, Don Newman and Mamie Archambeau as hostesses. The reception room, decorated by the bride's father, was beautiful with Christmas greens highlighted by silvered lau rel leaves. The holiday theme was carried out in the tables with their white lace and red covers. Mrs. Ira Poole and Mrs. John Newman served the wedding cake; Mrs. John Todd and Mrs. Hillard Lilji gren poured coffee and Mrs. Wil lard Fenderson served nunch. Mrs. Dale Robinson listed the gifts and Miss Sandra Andrews of I'arkdale had charge of the guest book. For traveling the bride wore a blue taffeta suit with white flower corsage. After a honeymoon trip to the Oregon coast, the couple are at homo to friends in Eugene.
