SAM SUITER, above, left, met his wife Pamela, on her 18th birthday in Liverpool, England, while Sail was with the U. S. Air Force. Pamela and their 13 months-old daughter. Vera Fay, plan to go back to England next September to spend several months visiting her rel atives. Sam is a salesman at Suiter. Building Supply. HORACE PENDERGRASS, top right, was with the 507 paratroop infantry of the 82nd Airborne Division, and met his wife, Norah, in Nottingham, England. Their son, Stephen, was a year old when they came to the United States. Norah was the first CI war bride to arrive in Roseburg, coming here Feb. 16, 1946. Horace is a meat cutter for Boyer Meat Co. He is commanding officer of Company D- 186th Infantry, National Cuard. TSCT. BARNEY SHANKS (center) of the Roseburg Marine Recruiting Service met his wife, Freda, at Aharoa, a south island of New Zealand. They were married in Wellington in 1942. Their twin daughters were born in New Zealand on St. Patrick's Day, 1943, and they returned to the United States April 21, 1946. Their son, James, was born in the United States. They came here from San Diego last Aug. I. Sgt. Shanks has been in the Marines 16 years. LADISLAV BAUER (lower right) is a native of Vratislava, Czechoslovakia. He arrived in England when English troops and allies were evacuated from Dunkirk. He met his wife, Amy, at Butler's Marston, Stratford on Avon, England, in 1940 and married her in 1941. Four of their children were born in England and two in America. Ladislav is an employee of the Wilbur Lumber Co. HAROLD MONIGHAN (lower left) was In the Air Force and met his wife, Jean, in Charlie ville, Queensland, Australia, in 1942 and married her Sept. 17 the same year. Their daugh ter was born in Sacramento, then the three wene back to Australia, where Bruce was born and they resided three years. They came back to the U.
