W. McMillen. The McMillen's who ouerate Mc's Motel and cabins ', above Idleyld Park are vacationing at Guaymas, Sonora, luexico. "The first time ynu come down here you just sit and rock, and the second year you just sit. This is our third year, and we hope to make future trips here," the McMillen's wrote to Mrs. Arthur Selby of Idleyld. "We left Phoenix, Aril, Jan. 10 for Tuscon, and the trip through the desert was grand; plenty of rainfall and flowers and cactus in bloom, cattle are fat and cotton picking in full swing," the letter states. "We spent three days in Tucson, taking in the sights old Tucson, the old mission and various points of interest. We then left for No gales, Ariz., where we met an other trailer party, making lour in all. We were somewhat late leav- ing the United States, as it takes sometime to secure the necessary Pfc. Bud Walker Home On Leave In Winston By MRS. GEORGE BACHER Pip Clarence R. (Bud) Walker arrived Friday to spend a fur lough in the home of his parents, Mr. ana Mrs. Clarence 1. Walker is currently stationed at Camp Rucker, Ala., with Company H of the 164th Inf. Reg., 47th Vik ing Division. He plans to visit in Winston until Feb. 19. Winston News Briefs: Mrs. Homer Rhodes is reported to be ill with flu at her home in Winston. Mrs. H. A. Winston has resumed her duties as fifth grade teacher at the Dillard School. For the past week, Mrs. .Winston has been in! new grandson, David, born two weeks ago to Mr. and Mrs. Chelsea Browne (Beverly Winston). During her absence, Mrs. L.'J. Fullerton served as substitute teacher. Earle Lewis has begun construc tion of a new home on the Looking glass Road in Winstoc. The new building will replace the former house, which was destroyed by fire rturing the winter. The Lewis fam ily has resided in Tcnmile sii.ee the loss of their home.
