Claude Fleming, War Veteran, Dies Claude Moore Fleming, 67, well known resident of Myrtle Creek and a veieran of the Spanish American War, died yesterday at the Mvrile Creek hospital follow ing a short illness. He was born Mav 4. 1879, at Thorpe Springs, Texas, and for the past several years has en gaged in farming on I-ouie Creek. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Frances Fleming, and four daughters Claudia Mae Fleming, Olalhe. Kansas: Joan Stock, Se attle, Wash.; Mary Van Horn, Durant. Okla.. and Claudia Cleve land, Mvitle Creek: one sister, Mrs. Clvde Poole. Tulsa, Okla., and five grandchildren. Drain Theater Project Given CPA Approval Civilian Production Administra tion officials in Washington, D. C, have approved the appeal of Golda Woolman to erect a $16,000 theater at Drain, Or., the Oregon CPA office was advised Thursday. OAKA GIBBS DIES Oaka Gibbs, formerly of Can yonville, died in Portland March 17. Funeral services were held at Canyonville this afternoon at the Methodist Church.
