The first meeting for the 1946 season of the Home Economics Club of the Rice Hill Grange was held Tuesday at the grange hall, with Mis. Kenneth LaMarr as hostess. Mrs. J. L. Roach presided as chairman, and was elected for the coming year. Other officers elect ed were entertainment, Mis. Kenneth Mulkey; prefect. Mis. R. M. Crawford; critic. Mrs. I-e-roy Churchill. Receipts for the last year were 5X8.35. The club voted to sponsor a pie social and card party Thursday evening, March 14, at the Rice 1 1 ill Grange hall. Ladies bring pies with your name attached to be auctioned off. Prizes will be given for high score in cards. During the meeting Mrs. Mul key presented a very Interesting program and delicious refresh ments were served to the follow ing: Mrs. J. L. Roach, Mrs. Wm. RIVERSDALE GRANGE BIRTHDAY DINNER TO BE HELD FRIDAY NIGHT Riversdale Grange will hold its quarterly birthday dinner at six thirty o'clock Friday evening. March 15, at the hall. The serving table was beauti fully decorated with the Valen tine motif. Red and white paper roses were also used for decora tions. A short program was presented consisting of two vocal selections by Mrs. Donald Johnston accom panied by Mrs. Blaine Johnson at the piano. Poems were read by Mrs. Jake Pisher and Mrs. Prank Tripp. A comic fashion show was pre sented by Mrs. J. A. Croff, Mrs. William Croff, Mrs. Maurice Croff and Mrs. Floyd Ames. A discussion was had about the rent and a committee of three, Mrs. Mar garete Collier, Mrs. Juanita Hol gate and Mrs. Green, were ap pointed to meet with the board members and report at the next regular meeting. Mrs. Holgate and Mrs. Goff were appointed on the entertain ment committee for the next meeting.
