YONCALLA. March 12. The
first meeting for the 1946 season
of the Home Economics Club of
the Rice Hill Grange was held
Tuesday at the grange hall, with
Mis. Kenneth LaMarr as hostess.
Mrs. J. L. Roach presided as
chairman, and was elected for the
coming year. Other officers elect
ed were entertainment, Mis.
Kenneth Mulkey; prefect. Mis.
R. M. Crawford; critic. Mrs. I-e-roy
Churchill. Receipts for the
last year were 5X8.35. The club
voted to sponsor a pie social and
card party Thursday evening,
March 14, at the Rice 1 1 ill Grange
hall. Ladies bring pies with your
name attached to be auctioned
off. Prizes will be given for high
score in cards.

AZALEA The Sunshine Club
entertained the Rusy Bee Club
at the Rrange hall Wednesday
with a Valentine party.
The serving table was beauti
fully decorated with the Valen
tine motif. Red and white paper
roses were also used for decora
tions. A short program was presented
consisting of two vocal selections
by Mrs. Donald Johnston accom
panied by Mrs. Blaine Johnson
at the piano. Poems were read
by Mrs. Jake Pisher and Mrs.
Prank Tripp.
A comic fashion show was pre
sented by Mrs. J. A. Croff, Mrs.
William Croff, Mrs. Maurice
Croff and Mrs. Floyd Ames.
Two Valentine contests were
given, prizes were won by Mrs.

Friday evening at the hall and
each lady has been requested to

Rebekah Lodge No. 218, met in
their hall Thursday evening with
the noble grand, Mrs. Vesta
Thomas presiding. A discussion
was had about the rent and a
committee of three, Mrs. Mar
garete Collier, Mrs. Juanita Hol
gate and Mrs. Green, were ap
pointed to meet with the board
members and report at the next
regular meeting.

ment committee for the next
