A. EDWARDS Nothing would Impress the world more than for good peo ple to show a real loyalty to the Church of Jesus Christ. The church should have the first place in our hearts, the central place in our minds, the principal place in all our ac tivities. We wrong the church if we deny her the first place. To the Church of Christ we owe our zeal, our benevolence and our prayer. When we ne glect Its services we injure its good name, we weaken its power, we discourage its members and wc chill our souls. Her unity, success, peace and growth should con cern us. We solemnly prom ised n the sight of God and men to advance its interests by faithful attendance, by reading the word of God, by never neglecting Its ordin ances, by contributing to its support, by meeting with oth er Christians in prayer and praise and service. We know that we are growing In grace when we are growing in the spirit of obedience and loyalty to the Church of Jesus Christ. Stronger than armies, strong er than navies is an idea whose hour has come. The foremost idea of this day is loyalty to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Amen.
