The addition of many individuals connected with the associations of furniture manufacturers and the re indictment of many corporations would permit of imposition of jail sentences upon conviction of the individuals as well .as assessment of fines of the companies, it was explained by Roger Shale, special assistant to the United States attorney-general. The corporations named In the new Indictments were those manu facturing dining roo mand bed room furniture who were named In the original Indictments, returned several weeks ago and failed to ap penr and enter pleas of guilty. Mr. Shale said that approximately one-half of the members of the Na tional Alliance of Furniture Manu facturers have already entered pleas of gulity and paid fines In ex cess of l-OU.uod.
