Hal Donuhey. 17-year-old son of Gov ernor Vic Doimhey, and Miss 1,11 llan Vogel, 15-year old Zanesville Kirl, who disappeared from her home Sunday nU-ht. and who was brouitht to Columbus by youtifc Donahey today were turned over to Juvenile court officials of MufkinKinn county at Zanesvillo by Mrs. Vic Donahey. The prfrl Is a ward of the court. According to the girl's story, which she told In the presence of Governor and Mrs. Donahey and Hal. she and Hal had been ac qualntPd about 30 days. She said that she and Hal and another boy and girl took a ride Sunday night nnd returning home about 11:30 o'clock she was afraid to enter her aunt's home where she was stay ing nnd that on her own sue crea tion Hal brought her to Columbus. 1 Arriving here near midnight she spent the remainder of th night at Thp Friend's home. Monday she went to th eroomlng house. She said the governor's son had i been a perfect gentleman and that she considered that he had ren dered her a service in bringing her to Columbus. ; COLUMBUS, O., April 8 In vestigation of the alleged connec tion of Hal Donahey. 17-year-old json of Governor Donnhey, with the I disappearance of Lillian Vogel, 15, of Zanesvillo. was re-opened to ;day with Indications of sensation al developments. ' While only a brief announce ment was made at the governor"! office, it was indicated that the facts are not as represented to the governor by young Donahey Mon day night, when It first became known that the girt was missing from her home. Miss Voeel Is In Columbus, and she was broueht here Sunday night by Hal Donahey, It was an- I nounced at the governor's office at noon today. The girl Is In a Columbus room j !ng house. It was presumed that she will be tnken back to Znnes ville by her mother, who was en j route to Columbus nt noon today, i The chief executive dispatched I Hal and James W. Huffman, hfs executive secretary, to Zanesville j to probe statements made there placing his son in a compromising position. Mrs. Donahey, her son, Hal, and Miss Vogel left the executive man sion at three o'clock this after noon for Zanesville, where the boy nnd girl will be turned over to the juvenile authorities. Mrs. Dona hey took the girl to the executive miinsion from a rooming house. Probate JudgM Clarence Graham said that "a thorough Investiga tion will be made of the disappear ance of Miss Vogel, who was a ward of the Muskingum county court.
