The prfrl Is a ward of the court.
According to the girl's story,
which she told In the presence of
Governor and Mrs. Donahey and
Hal. she and Hal had been ac
qualntPd about 30 days. She said
that she and Hal and another boy
and girl took a ride Sunday night
nnd returning home about 11:30
o'clock she was afraid to enter her
aunt's home where she was stay
ing nnd that on her own sue crea
tion Hal brought her to Columbus.
1 Arriving here near midnight she
spent the remainder of th night
at Thp Friend's home. Monday
she went to th eroomlng house.
She said the governor's son had
i been a perfect gentleman and that
she considered that he had ren
dered her a service in bringing her
to Columbus.

al developments.
' While only a brief announce
ment was made at the governor"!

known that the girt was missing
from her home.
Miss Voeel Is In Columbus, and
