On of the cars, loaded with cement, as literally reduced to kindling wood the gondola, loaded wlih lime rock from tiold Hill to Ihe Oswego cement works, was torn off Its trucks ami turned upside down In the ditch toicar wua shunted off at right angles with the track and a second boxcar was derailed and pretty badly smashed up. Conductor liankln said that when the accident occurred the train came to a very sudden stop and while he was on the extreme rear end of the long string nf cars, he knew what had happened. He said that had he teen walking a little slower he would have been caught.
