The latest happen ing is a severe case of insanity, which was disposed of by the county court In this city Thursday. The patient Is George T. Holland, aged 19 years and standing 6 feet, 3 Inches high. He attempted to kill his mothor, Mrs. Charles Holland, at Myrtle Creek, a few days ago, and on another occa sion attempted suicide. In the opin ion of the examining physician, Dr. E. V. Hoover, the young man's un fortunate condition is probably due to an Injury to his head, sustained In a railroad wreck in 1907, while em ployed as a brakeman. Holland's delusion is that he has discovered the fountain of youth. He become vio lent when opposed on this subject, but at all other times his demeanor is rational. The family has lived at Myrtle Creek but a short time, com ing there from Michigan. Holland was taken to the state asylum today. How Is Yonr Digestion. V. -Robinson, who conducted a blind pig in the Roseburg Brewery block In 1904, and who was indicted for perjury In fur nishing an affidavit containing lies in a city election that year, skipped out of Merrill, Klamath county, the day that a warrant was being telephoned charging him with being guilty of blind pigging at Merrill. He left for Nevada. He escaped arest on ac count of the telephone wires being crossed for several hours before the telephone instructions from the sher iff could be comploted.
