Mr. Lewis lost his camera and other belongings amount ing in value to fully ?1?!, in a fire which recently destroyed his moth er's house In Michigan. Win. Watson, who lives near the old McWIIIlnms place on Doer Creek, east of town, reported to the sheriff's oflice this morning that his home had been robbed of $f0 In money. Last Saturday night Watson was paid about $150 by four men who are boarding at his home and who are employed on the old McWilliiuns place by F. E. Alley, the owner. Of that sum, two $20 gold pieces and a $10 gold piece were deposited In a sewing machine- drawer when Wat son and his family left honie at 6 o'clock Monday night. When they returned four hours Inter the money was gone. During the absence of the family the thief had affected entrance tq the house by removing a pane of glass from a window. This evidence Is strengthen ed by the fact that the S; P. section boss at Wilbur and two of his crew testified at the hearing before Jus tice Singleton that they saw Fish In company with another "hobo" pus- sine through Wilbur early Wednesday morning last.
