It has pleased Almighty God to remove from our midst our beloved friend and Brother, Frank H. F. and E. Although it seem? hard to bow in humble submission to God's will, yet wo should feel that he doeth all things well, and some sweet day we may understand; though we realize that ho has gone that road from which no traveler ever returns, the memory of his kindness and loving heart will re main long with those who knew him, therefore, be It Resolved, That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to his wife In her deepest sorrow, as we believe that tho human heart Is not capable of more tender love that she bore for him, and Hint her loss is Irre parable; and be it further Resolved, That n copy of these resolutions be placed on the minutes of our Lodge, and a copy sent to each of the Roseburg papers for pub lication, and that our ('barter be draped In mourning for thirty days. "Let Fate do her worst, there are relics of joy. Bright dreams of the past, which none can destroy; Which comes in the nlghtlmc of sorrow nnd care. And bring back some features thai joy used to wear. Long, long, be our hearts with such memories filled, Like the vase in which roses have once been distilled; You may brenk, you may shatter, the vase if you will, But the scent of tho roses lingers round It still."
