Resolution of Thanks. Be it resolved by Reno Post No. 2(1, G. A. R., in regularmeetiog assembled, that the thanks of this Post be ex fended to the clergy of Roseburg, for the measure of interest taken in dedi cating and consecrating memorial day tif the American people, especially Revs. Townsend, Hicks and Reutor, in memoriul and oration, in 80 ably illus trating the achievements of the Amerl van soldiors, in their struggles and sacrifices for tho right. Re it further resolved that we ap- predate very highly the very excellent music furnished by the orchestra, the band and choirs, on this National Day of Memorial, for which the Post is not unmindful but extends thanks; ulso the thanks of the Post is hereby extended to Capt. Hamlin and the National Guard in making this day's exercises remindful of the sepulchral honors paid to our hero doad; and lastly our thanks are extended to Commandant Elder, for the courtesy and kind reception given us on the Soldiers' Home grounds. Lorenz Confesses. Washington, May 31. George E. Lorenz, of Toledo, O., who was con victed with Aug. W. Machen and Samuel and Dllor B. Droit on charges of conspiracy to defraud the Govern ment in connection with contracts for furnishing supplies for tho Postofllce Department, today turned state's evi dence in the trial of William G. Craw ford, who Is charged with conspiracy. Macben and Lorenz wero lndictod jointly with Crawford. The former pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to an additional two years In the peni tentiary and Lorenz was granted sevoranco trial. It credited that Lorenz Is testifying for Huge Tusk. It was a huge task, to undertake the cure of such a bad case of kidney di sease, as that of C. P. Collier, of Chero kee, la., but Electric Bitters did It.
